Quipper Dinner Gathering 2026: Connecting, Collaborating, and Shaping the Future of Education with CEAP School Leaders

"Quipper Dinner Gathering at Seda Ayala Center Cebu"

On the evening of September 23, 2026, more than 300 school leaders and educators from across the Philippines gathered at Seda Ayala Center Cebu for the Quipper Dinner Gathering. Held right after Day 1 of the CEAP National Convention, the evening brought together presidents, directors, superintendents, principals, and teachers from Catholic schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for a night of recognition, meaningful conversation, and a shared look at the future of digital learning in the Philippines.

Guided by the theme “Connecting. Collaborating. Shaping the Future of Education.”, the Quipper Dinner Gathering celebrated the partner schools that have grown with Quipper through the years, and recognized a landmark partnership with CEAP-NCR.

A Night Built Around Connection and Collaboration

The CEAP National Convention is one of the most important gatherings of Catholic educators in the country — a space where school leaders reflect on their mission and explore what it takes to form learners for a changing world. The Quipper Dinner Gathering extended that conversation beyond the convention halls, giving partners and fellow educators a relaxed setting to reconnect, exchange ideas, and celebrate what they have achieved together.

For Quipper, the evening was also a way to say thank you. As an Educational Technology (EdTech) company and one of the Philippines’ most trusted e-learning partners, Quipper has spent 12 years serving the Philippines, providing complete digital learning solutions from Kinder to Tertiary to more than 600 partner schools, 7,000 teachers, and 344,000 students. Many of those schools are CEAP members, and the Quipper Dinner Gathering was a chance to honor the trust they have placed in Quipper. Learn more about Quipper.

Quipper’s leadership was present to welcome guests and personally thank partner schools: Christy Wong, Co-founder of Manabie Group and member of the Board of Directors of Quipper; David Soukhasing, Chief Executive Officer; Katrina Mae Miranda, Head of Business Operations and Chief of Staff; and Rainer Lester Rondero, Head of Sales and Marketing.

Opening Remarks from Christy Wong: Partnership Is the Reason We Exist

"Christy Wong Opening remarks"

The evening opened with a message from Christy Wong, Co-founder of Manabie Group and member of the Board of Directors of Quipper. Quipper is part of the Manabie Group, an EdTech company founded in Singapore. Before co-founding Manabie with Takuya Homma, who also co-founded Quipper, Ms. Wong was a founding member of Lazada and spent years working across Southeast Asia and Japan.

On behalf of the board and the entire Quipper Philippines team, she thanked the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) for welcoming Quipper into partnership once again. She also explained why a board member, rather than management, was giving the opening remarks that night:

“The board usually sees a company from a distance — the numbers, the strategy, the risks. The board rarely sees the reason the company exists in the first place. This partnership with CEAP is the reason, and I wanted to say so in person.”

Listening on the Ground

Earlier this year, the board asked Quipper’s management to spend less time in the office and more time on the ground — fewer dashboards, more classrooms. That meant real time in provinces across the country, in principals’ offices and staff rooms, mostly listening. As Ms. Wong put it, numbers cannot tell you whether teachers are actually opening the platform on a Tuesday, or struggling with it. Only the schools can.

She shared one story from those visits. To reach the school of Fr. Dante, Claret School of Maluso, Basilan Province, the Quipper team traveled with an army escort. When they arrived, the school had no electricity that day, water was not guaranteed, and connectivity was uncertain. Many would have concluded that digital learning was not yet realistic there. Fr. Dante did not. He walked the team through his classrooms, introduced his teachers, and explained why he wanted Quipper in his school — not someday, but now — because his students deserve the same content and quality of learning as students in Manila. Generators, offline access, and teacher training scheduled around power outages were problems he was ready to solve. What he needed from Quipper was simple: show up, make it work for his conditions, and do not disappear.

“Our team went to explain what Quipper could do for a school,” Ms. Wong said. “They came back with Fr. Dante having explained what a school does for a community.”

Four Commitments to Partner Schools

Speaking as a board member, Ms. Wong closed with four commitments from Quipper to its partner schools:

  • We listen. On content, on the platform, and on how we support you — and the company has chosen to move faster on the improvements schools have asked for.

  • We look ahead for you. Quipper anticipates what is coming in education technology, tests it, and brings only what is ready and relevant to the classroom, so no school has to chase the next thing alone.

  • We are here for the long term. “A partner is measured by what happens after the contract is signed” — whether someone answers the phone, shows up at the school, and keeps in March the promise made in June.

  • People. Behind every login, lesson, training session, and school visit is a Quipper team member who knows the school by heart.

When schools partner with Quipper, she emphasized, they are partnering not just with a platform, but with the people behind it. Ms. Wong closed by thanking CEAP for its trust and every school for the years they have given — and the years ahead — with a promise: “We are here for good, and we are here to stay.”

Celebrating Loyalty: The Quipper Loyalty Awards

One of the highlights of the Quipper Dinner Gathering was the Quipper Loyalty Awarding, which honored 22 CEAP member schools that have partnered with Quipper for five years and more.

School representatives were called on stage one by one to receive their Loyalty Awards from Quipper leaders Christy Wong, David Soukhasing, Katrina Mae Miranda, and Rainer Lester Rondero, to warm applause from fellow educators. Partners celebrating seven and eight years with Quipper were also invited to share a few words of thanks — messages that captured what long-term partnership means to their schools.

8 Years of Partnership

Saint Paul University Surigao — received by Sr. Marie Rosanne Mallillin, SPC, University President.

Sr. Marie Rosanne Mallillin, SPC, shared that she had only just realized SPUS is the longest-standing partner among this year’s awardees — “but you can trust we will be there for as long as forever.” She then handed the microphone to Dr. Alcher Juagpao Arpilleda, who was there when the partnership began.

“Eight years ago, we started as partners. Today, we celebrate as a family. Thank you, Quipper, for this opportunity to work with you, for supporting us, for growing with us, and for never giving up on us — today and beyond. We are one with you in bringing the best education to every corner of the world.” — Dr. Alcher Juagpao Arpilleda, Saint Paul University Surigao

7 Years of Partnership

Five schools were recognized for seven years of partnership with Quipper. Their representatives shared heartfelt messages of thanks during the program.

Mater Dei College — received by Dr. Mariano Lerin, President.

Dr. Mariano Lerin invited the college’s Vice President for Academic Affairs to speak on behalf of the school.

“We are very proud to tell you that we were the first in Bohol, and after our school, the rest of the schools followed. We would like to thank Quipper Philippines for helping make things easier for our students. We will be using Quipper next year and in the years to come.” — Dr. Maria Nympa Sanchez Reserva, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mater Dei College

Notre Dame of Cotabato, Inc. — received by Anna Marie Piodena, School Principal and Bro. Jeff Rhey Antiquesa, FMS, School Director.

Speaking for Notre Dame of Cotabato, Dr. Anna Marie Piodena drew laughter from the room, admitting that after this many years with Quipper, the award might also be proof of having forgotten a password, reset it, remembered it again — and still stayed. Then came a more serious reflection on what loyalty really means:

“Loyalty in education is not simply about staying with a product for many years. Loyalty is about staying with purpose. What made Quipper different for us was not merely the technology — it was the partnership. Through ordinary school days, changing educational demands, and especially during those difficult years when learning had to continue beyond the walls of our classrooms, Quipper became more than a platform we subscribed to. It became one of the tools that helped us say to our learners, ‘Your education will continue.’” — Dr. Anna Marie Piodena, Notre Dame of Cotabato, Inc.
“No platform, no device, and no technology can replace a good teacher. But the right technology, placed in the hands of a committed teacher and supported by a school willing to innovate, can extend a teacher’s reach and open possibilities for a child. To Quipper, thank you for walking with us not merely as a provider, but as a partner in our mission. We remain partners not because we stayed with technology, but because together we stayed committed to the mission.” — Dr. Anna Marie Piodena, Notre Dame of Cotabato, Inc.

St. Joseph School Foundation, Inc. — received by Ebenlyn M. Fabian, Lead Coordinator and Theresa May Dumape, Registrar.

“This recognition is a meaningful testament to the strong partnership we have built over the years. Our journey with our learning management system has been one of collaboration, growth, and continuous innovation. Your platform has become more than just a tool for us — it has been a valuable partner in our mission to provide meaningful, accessible, and quality education to our students.” — Ebenlyn M. Fabian, on behalf of Rev. Fr. Msgr. Maximo Campo, OIC School Director, and Sr. Julie R. Ybañez, OP, School Principal, St. Joseph School Foundation, Inc.

St. Paul University Dumaguete — received by Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC, University President and Sr. Carmelita Villanueva, SPC, Basic Education Principal.

CEAP-NCR x Quipper Partnership Recognition

"Fr. Glen William Z. Relucio and Sr. Aileen U. Bonifacio, SPC, receiving the CEAP-NCR x Quipper partnership plaque"

The evening also marked a special milestone: the CEAP-NCR x Quipper Partnership Recognition. Fr. Glen William Z. Relucio, Ph.D., Regional Trustee of CEAP-NCR, and Sr. Aileen U. Bonifacio, SPC, Secretary of CEAP-NCR, received a plaque of partnership on behalf of CEAP-NCR for the Harmonized GMRC/VE with CLE program. The plaque was presented by Quipper leaders Christy Wong, David Soukhasing, Katrina Mae Miranda, and Rainer Lester Rondero.

At the heart of the partnership is the third edition of the CEAP-NCR Virtue Series, which provides a coherent formation program from Kindergarten to Grade 12. From Kindergarten to Grade 6, Christian Living is harmonized with Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC). From Grades 7 to 10, Christian Living is harmonized with Values Education (VE). For Grades 11 and 12, the series offers a dedicated Christian Living program. Organized according to the three-term academic year — with an opening block, an instructional block, and an end-of-term block — the series remains rooted in Catholic identity and mission.

Through this partnership, Quipper serves as the platform for the print and digital learning resources that complement the Virtue Series. Teachers and students gain another way to access learning materials, activities, assessments, and other resources that make Values Education, Christian Living, and GMRC more engaging and accessible — supported by teacher training from Quipper. It reflects Quipper’s commitment to curriculum-aligned content built for the Philippine classroom and responsive to the mission of the schools it serves.

In his message, Fr. Glen emphasized why the partnership matters:

“Let me emphasize: technology is not the mission. Technology serves the mission. We are not partnering with Quipper simply because we want our schools to become more digital. We are doing this because if our mission is to form the whole person, then Catholic formation must also be present wherever learning takes place.”

He described the goal as an ecosystem where the print Virtue Series, curriculum resources, teacher formation, and digital materials work together — one formation journey delivered through different ways of learning.

“The CEAP-NCR Virtue Series and Quipper Philippines — bringing Catholic formation from print to digital, from classroom to everyday life, and from simply knowing values to truly living them. Let us use technology not simply to make education more modern, but to make our mission reach farther.” — Fr. Glen William Z. Relucio, Ph.D., Regional Trustee, CEAP-NCR

Exciting Raffle Prizes and a Partner Showcase with Aerophone

"Raffle winners with their prizes / Aerophone booth"

The night was not all speeches and awards. Participants enjoyed a raffle prepared by Quipper, with lucky winners taking home exciting prizes.

Joining the celebration was Quipper’s partner, Aerophone. Founded in Cebu in 1996, Aerophone Enterprises & Co. is a pioneer in mobile technology retail and a trusted distributor and retailer of international technology brands, with stores across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Its lineup includes the TicNote AI Voice Recorder, and it is an authorized Bambu Lab reseller in the Philippines.

Aerophone sponsored additional prizes for participants: three (3) TicNote AI Voice Recorders as major prizes and three (3) Honor Premium Gift Boxes as minor prizes.

Aerophone also set up a booth where guests could explore technology that is increasingly finding its way into schools:

  • Bambu Lab — 3D printing machines that can power makerspaces, robotics clubs, and hands-on STEM projects.

  • Insta360 — action and AI-powered cameras and high-performance wireless microphones, ideal for creating video lessons, documenting school events, and supporting student media projects.

We thank Aerophone for being part of the Quipper Dinner Gathering and for helping make the evening even more memorable.

Shaping the Future of Education, Together

The Quipper Dinner Gathering was a reminder that the future of education is not shaped by technology alone, but by people — school leaders who make bold decisions, teachers who bring lessons to life, and partners who stay committed year after year. From honoring 22 loyal partner schools to recognizing the CEAP-NCR partnership, the night captured what Quipper hopes to keep building with Catholic schools across the country: connection, collaboration, and a shared vision of quality education for every Filipino learner.

To all CEAP member schools, partner schools, and educators who joined us in Cebu — thank you. We look forward to many more years of empowering every teacher, engaging every student, and elevating every school.
