Privacy Notice For Job Applicants
Quipper Philippines, Inc. ("Quipper," "we," "us," or "the Company") is committed to protecting the personal data of all individuals who apply for employment with us. This Privacy Notice is issued pursuant to Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 ("DPA"), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission ("NPC").
By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice.
1. Who Collects Your Data
Quipper Philippines, Inc. is the Personal Information Controller ("PIC") responsible for the personal data you provide in connection with your job application.
2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data from applicants:
• Full name, date of birth, and gender;
• Contact details (address, telephone number, email address);
• Educational background and qualifications;
• Employment history and professional experience;
• Government-issued identification numbers (where required);
• References and their contact information;
• Results of assessments, tests, or interviews conducted during the recruitment process; and
• Other information voluntarily provided in your application or curriculum vitae.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
Your personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

Conducting background verification and reference checks;

Communicating with you regarding the status of your application;

Complying with legal and regulatory obligations; and

Where your application is successful, facilitating onboarding and employment processing.
The legal basis for processing is your consent, as well as the legitimate interests of the Company in evaluating applicants and filling vacancies, pursuant to Sections 12 and 13 of the DPA.
4. Who May Have Access to Your Data
Your personal data will be accessed only by authorized personnel involved in the recruitment process, including members of the People Experience and Corporate Compliance Department and relevant department heads. Data may also be shared with third-party service providers engaged by the Company for recruitment support, subject to confidentiality obligations and compliance with the DPA. Your data will not be sold, disclosed, or transferred to unauthorized parties.

5. Retention of Your Data
If your application is unsuccessful, your personal data will be retained for a period of one (1) year from the date of your application, after which it will be securely disposed of or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law or you have consented to being considered for future vacancies. If your application is successful, your data will be retained as part of your employee records in accordance with the Company's Data Retention Guidelines.
6. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under the DPA, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Right to be informed of how your data is being processed;

Right to access your personal data held by the Company;

Right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;

Right to object to the processing of your data;

Right to erasure or blocking of your data under circumstances provided by law;

Right to data portability; and

Right to lodge a complaint with the NPC.

7. Security Measures
The Company implements appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, consistent with the requirements of the DPA and the Company's Data Privacy Manual.
